tyler payments

Let me recap the last 24hrs.

When we arrived home last night David was paying his bills he asked
about the daycare amount and Tyler interrupted that he had the "taken
care of it". Great we don't need to pay Stephanie.

Later that night I see Tyler take David's wallet from the counter. I
finish hooking Emma in her chair and I take the wallet from him. He
tells me he needs money for his wallet. I tell he needs to earn it and
go back to what I was doing.

This morning we were getting ready to leave for the day, Tyler was
eating breakfast and watching cartoons. I ask David if the check for
Stephanie is in the bag. Before David could answer, Tyler replies "I
took care of it"!! He is set on paying Stephanie. We just laugh it
off.

At about 830am David calls me to ask if I have his Debit card. While on
the phone with he also realizes his Credit card is missing. I check
online and nothing has been charged to the accounts. We call
Stephanie's house and Tyler says he didn't take them. Stephanie does
not see them in his book bag. So we put a hold on his accounts.

At lunchtime David goes home and looks for them. Sure enough they were
in Tyler's wallet. Stored just like Daddy does. I am hoping he ordered
me a nice Christmas gift!! These kids they don't even want cash these
days, they just want the plastic. He is just too smart for his own
good! I fear when Emma does this.

Raising the Bar

For weeks i have been saying "oh we are busy", "this weekend when by too fast- because we were so busy". Looking at my calendar, we are booked with at least one event ever weekend until mid December. I just need to accept that this is our life now. We are just on the go. The sooner i accept it the sooner i will adapt to it...however, i still am very excited about next weeks time change.

So lets get you up to date on our Den!!

a few weeks ago tyler went on a field trip to the Clark Mills fire House:

Its fall and the Geese are moving. If you look carefully you can see the field is full of Them! Tyler is out there with his pop gun, it didnt phase them one bit! On the 18th Dad shot a buck with the bow, when i told tyler.....that boy dressed to go outside and see it in less then 2 minutes.

With Fall comes Hockey! We went to the crunch opener!! I am so looking forward to our next game! They won in a great game!

This past weekend was the marathon. Friday night we went to the Beaver Lake Enchanted walk. I didnt take photos because i had all i could do with the baby and umbrella. It was raining but we still had fun. All their nature walks were lit with pumpkins. Some of the designs were just amazing. All and All we had 19 of us in our group, 6 were 4 and under!

Saturday we carved pumpkins, I think you may have seen the photos!! Emma makes a great pumpkin. She is entered into a contest please vote:

Saturday afternoon we went to my moms work to the Kids party. They had games, drinks and a scavenger hunt. Emma was a big hit with the "old" people! Candy corn was a big hit with tyler!

Later Saturday night we had a surprise birthday party for Bernie! He turns 60 this week! The party was at The soda fountain in Remsen, i think he was 100% surprised!

Sunday morning we had to get cooking! We started with pumpkin seeds that turned out really yummy.

4 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
Heat them in a 275-degree oven for 15 to 25 minutes until golden brown. i stirred them once or twice. Once done I lightly sprinkled them with sugar and salt!

We also had to make cupcakes and grapes for Nana and Amanda's birthday party.
I actually baked the cupcakes late on Saturday, Tyler and i just frosted them Sunday morning. I filled them with pumpkin pudding to give them that added fall flavoring. I wanted to do it in a spice cake but i didnt have any. So i did it with a butter yellow cake and they turned out great! Tyler loved the sprinkles!

Then i made the grape salad...tyler thinks that silly to say! "Grapes aren't salad mommy!"
At the party Amanda tried to resist her birthday spankings, i think that made it worse.

Tyler is such a big girl now. She test drove her excersaucer this weekend. I think tyler took this photo!

She is such a big girl!!! she was very tired from all the events!

Finally tonight, we went on a cold haywagon ride up at the farm.

During the ride, uncle james scared the boys ..... if tyler has nightmares tonight I will be calling James! after the ride we had a fire with cider and donuts! it was lots of fun!

Okay i am just tired recapping that! well onto get ready for this week! Tomorrow tyler has is halloween party at school, he is going to be the best darn fireman there!

Dont forget to vote for emma!

Apple chicken rolls

This is so yummy I have made them the last 2 Sundays!! The photos were not good...they keep getting eaten before i can get a good shot. Just trust me they are yummy!

Take some chicken breast and flatten them till they are very thin. sprinkle a small (1 oz) amount of cheese (i used an Italian blend but would love to try it with asiago) onto the chicken. Spread some chopped apples and spinach and roll chicken up.

Place in a preheated fry pan with EVOO (enough to coat the pan). Brown all sides, add baby bella mushrooms, and a splash of dry white cooking wine. let cook on a medium to low heat until chicken is done. Remove chicken from pan.

To the pan add about a tablespoon of cornstarch to make a rue. then had a splash of apple cider and some chicken broth/stock. When sauce is thickened up pour over chicken breasts (taste great on rice also!). You do not want the sause as thick has gravy. Service with brown rice and homemade applesauce for a full apple extravaganza. you will be lucky to have leftovers!

Sorry i dont have exact measurements....i just wing it and hope it works!!

enjoy...i love it!

Photo replay!

its been wild and crazy like normal! here are some photos to update you all....i am just to tired to type a lot! It been mostly fall fun!! lots to do with Apple..stand by for a great apple dinner idea.
