Late Ladybug Party

I am only a few weeks late but i can finally recap my 4 years in the making Ladybug party! Most people think i wanted to have a ladybug party because of tori spellings party for her daughter (seriously google Tori Spelling ladybug party) but really i have to give credit to elizabeth hasselbeck (the View) she had a party for her oldest daughter and for some reason i saw the photos from that before i was even pregnant with Tyler. I have been waiting for this day since then!



For the most part it was as planned. I wanted to do a few other things and the wind was not making it easy on the decorations. But i think those in attendance had a great time! Sadly when i tried to upload the photos to Blogger they are not in order and i am not use to my laptop yet to switch them around so just bear with me!



Emma had so much fun she was a big mess with her cake but she really loved the ice cream.

My little ladybug! I ordered these cute little antenna for emma and the little kids (but i stole one!) for the bigger kids i ordered fun ones in other colors but i didnt get any photos :(



So i completely decorated in pink and green with a little bit of Red. I used alot of the So Sweet ladybug items from Birthday Express and alot of items from Oriental express.

i used these pails from target for a $1 to tie the balloons too. I filled them with tissue paper i had planned to put snacks in them with pin wheels but it was so windy we were afraid of the mess. Each table also had a ladybug pop toy and ladybug bubbles. A sea of pink and green perfect for our ladybug queen!

Turning 1 is so sweet! We had a whole sweet table of pink red and green candy!

It was a great day! The kids got to play one the playground have a water gun fight and sneak up on the adults with silly string! Miss Emma was asleep before we left park! Less than 360 days till her next birthday......Strawberry shortcake?? hmm maybe!!!

Finished tree with handmade elements!

This is a photo of our finished tree! All 9feet of it!! And yes i am a tree killer, we cut one every year. The Szareks not being "Green" you say? please we are very green, we gave the tree farmer some Green!! We may not be saving the environment but we are saving the economy one tree at a time! lol

We had a little issue with out xmas ornaments this year. We opened the box and they were all destroyed. all the paint was off them and they had black spots all over. so i ran to the store while david put some lights on the tree. Her is david hooking up all the new ornaments.

The red star was like $1 at Micheals, i just added glitter! you can see the cereal ornament that tyler made at school and the wish list i made!

I got this idea from Familyfun.com you take a wooden spool and wrap paper around it. Then you add the childs wish list! its so cute.

For emma we put: her 2 front teeth, Pink Clothes and a cookie jar!
For tyler we listed the items he sent to santa: Marshmallow bow, duck game, toy truck with a boat! My grandmother made the shell ornament for us last year.We are getting some feathery visitors to our bird feed, we wanted to make a tree for them!

I took so old store bought pie crust that i was going to throw out, a cut out heart shapes with a hole for the string. I spread left over shortening on the hearts after baking them at 450. Tyler sprinkled bird seed on them.When we were done they were hung up in the tree for the birds to have a merry christmas.
This was my favorite project so far! I wanted to have photos on my tree of all our loved ones. So ordered photos of everyone, some i even printed off the computer myself.
I found some round disks at micheals, i cut my photo to be slightly smaller than the disks. I used my scrapbooking supplies, but you could trace a can of soup!


Then i placed decoupage on the disks stuck the photos to them and put decoupage over the top of the photos
After it dried i glued ribbon to the back
I would also write the name of the person and date/year of the photo to help us remember down the road.
When i was done i had these great photo ornamets that captured some great events of the year.For the record the actual photo were easier to do and i think turned out better. the ones i printed on regular paper got wavy when i used the decoupage on them.

Week in Review via photos

We have been crazy busy the last week. I have been off of work since Thursday afternoon, I am not going back until the morning of Tuesday the 14th!! Much needed break! I could write a book on all that we have done and seen this week. here is a recap.

We purchased bedding for Emma's room! Its Love bug by Carter, Pink and Choc. brown.

Tyler needed a new dresser to fit all his toys in his room. So we purchased him this one! It's his big boy dresser, his old one he gave to his sister Emma.

I have worked on some craft projects....can you guess where they maybe going?

I have even done some accessorizing!!

Last night we did some decorating!!! I am sure you are getting a good idea of what the room looks like! However, you will wait to see the official room photo for when i feel the room is complete.

On Friday, Tyler had an Easter egg hunt up at the farm. He was one of the first find all 14 of his eggs! He turned them in for his prizes, a basket full of Candy that he wouldn't share with mommy!

A few Saturdays ago Tyler and i planted some random Basil seeds i had left over. Well they have finally started to grown, sorry the photo came out blurry. Tyler is more excited about the big weed in the pot then the actual basil. So i think Mr. Weed will be staying.

Saturday Night was the final Crunch Hockey game until October :( Insert tears here... My sabres didnt make the playoffs either. It is a bad hockey play off season for me!

I finally organized all my pages that i have boxed up. And put them in albums! That was my 9am project today.

We have search for lots and lots of eggs, Friday at the Farm, Saturday at my Moms, Sunday here, Sunday afternoon at Nanas. That bunny was very very busy. Our bunny Max is a cousin to the easter bunny, he helped out the easter bunny in the westmoreland area. Boy was he tired on Sunday, we took him some extra carrots!!

besides the sidewalk chalk, bubbles and tons of candy, Tyler was most excited that the easter bunny remembered his bug vacuum. The only problem we have had is its cold again, and can not find any bugs to test it out on!

Well that is the wrap up from the S-Den! i will try to upload all the photos to webshots later, but a little girl in me is hungry. I also told tyler i would sit on the couch and watch a movie! Guess who is going to fall asleep first!!!

Tyler the little builder

We had a crazy weekend but still were able to get alot done! Dad and David worked on the "Cat Cage" Okay really its a bunny cage because we are getting a bunny but we have not told tyler because he would want it now!! So Tyler thinks its for Pappys nonexistent cat...this lie is so going to come back and bite us in the .....!!! Tyler had to go downstairs and help build it! this is him going down the stairs with all his tools. He was so fast i had to snap this photos 1/2 down the stairs. He wouldnt wait for me at the top. He was too busy. He hit the bottom step and yelled i love you mommy bye!


David worked on the these stairs as well, he remudded spots and sanded. hopefully we can throw some paint on it soon! i didnt want to paint the stairs but they need something...ideas welcome.

I finally organized my craft center. I did alot of downsizing!! i found alot of things i have not used. I took 2 boxes to aunt Laurie's for the girls to go Thur. I am not sure what i am doing with the rest ..if your looking for anything let me know!! i organized the shelves to hold all of tylers craft things! paper, coloring books, stickers, Bins for tools and projects things. He asked me tonight if i was going to share my things with him!!!

This is what the finished area looks like all clean! i have to get a better chair...i really like this one at Target that is always on sale but ....you know how it goes not when you are looking for it!

We have cleaned alot of items out of the baby's room, tyler is stressing over it. He doesnt want his toys moved! i can not wait for spring he has so many things that can go outside. My friend Jenny saw signs of spring at her house, i am still looking here! Promising that i have seen so many geese flying around!!

The baby's name is going to be Emma Jane. Tyler know that his sister is Emma. When i ask him to say Emma Jane, he Says Emma Jeans! how cute! i have been looking for bedding and found some but the pricing is so outrageous. I am thinking about making my own. I made bumpers for the camper before, i can make curtains and blankets. What else do i need? We can not put a bed skirt on our crib so that is out. I have to visit the fabric shop!

I can not believe I am having another baby and Logan is already 4. We had his bday party on Saturday...it was so much fun! On friday tyler and i went to help get ready for the party. I have uploaded some photos to webshots: logans bday, Elmo, a video of tyler acting like Mirasty!

Well i need to run this time change has me out of order! I took a power nap tonight and didnt hear my sister come to my house!

Monday Monday

I am off today because of the holiday i am trying to actually get things done! Yesterday i was bum....my nana was ready to stroke when i hung up curtains without ironing them! I told her ironing is so 1999!! haha! I found a nice curtain at walmart for the mudroom. I decided yesterday to go back and get some for the sliding glass and other windows in the living room. Now it is all tied together. I was ready for a change to the curtains, dad still calls them my PJ curtains and i have had them up since 2006!!! David painted the doors the same color brown that is in our living room! So the mudroom is done..well i need to clean out the closet.

I think in part i am just ready for spring. I wanted to grill out yesterday for dinner, but david had me use the indoor grill. I am just ready for winter to be over. Last year i told myself i was going to take a vacation this time of year. Get away from this weather......yeah i listened to myself.

All this talk of warm weather has me in the mood for pasta salad...hmm i wonder if i have the stuff to make it!

Organized Croup

Yes i spelled that correctly. This weekend we had planned to focus on getting the house organized and more efficient. Well Tyler came down with Croup on Friday! Luckily he was acting fine other then the random cough so we continued on with our plan.

Here are the finished products before i tell the weekend story! I love it! Its like a lodge!

I still need to get a curtain and repaint the doors but you can see the cubes for storage!

Friday night we did a lot of the running around so that saturday we could just start. Tyler hung out at Gramie's. David had started the Mudroom on Thursday, so on saturday he hung all the bead board and moldings. My dad came over and put together my new storage units for the craft area. I worked to move the computer to the foyer and cleaned out the desk. I found so much old crap in there, like bank statements from 2005. Our house was so trashed on Saturday. This photo is from like 10am saturday morning.I was trying to go thru the desk and dust things. This will become the new craft area. Tylers play-dough, paints, markers and papers along with some of my scrapbooking stuff.

By Sunday, the old desk was down stairs all cleaned out. I have box of things to burn and box of things to sell in garage sale or donated to a rummage sales. David started making the cubes to hold things in the Mudroom. I slowly began to clean the toy/scrap room. My counter top in my scrap area is being moved to where our old desk is. I am about 1/2 with clearing that off, sadly my dinning room table has so much crap on it still. I have not sorted any of my scrapbooking stuff out yet. I know i have things i dont need.

Sunday afternoon tyler took a turn. The last time he ate was 11ish, he spiked a fever at 102 around 5pm. He was really just out of it from 3pm on. So today, Monday, I have stayed home with him. I slept holding him from 12-3 and then 4-7 last night. This morning he seems fine but still will not eat. Over the weekend he was feeling so good. We got him outside to get that good air in him. He made a snowman and went sledding.

I hope he gets better soon!

I am not a professional organizer, i need to give it my 100% attention in order to keep things some what in the right place. I would love to be those people you see on tv with everything in its place and labeled. But this weekend, i had my organization groove on. I am happy with what we were able to get done. But i have questions? I put all my CDs on my computer and on my MP3 player - so do i really need to keep them? They are taking up 1/2 a drawer in the old desk down stairs. Same with the DVDs, they are all in a binder, do i need to keep the cases?

The biggest question i had over the weekend....How did we accumulate all this crap?

Making room for baby

This weekend we are going to start making room for baby. Our first project really has nothing to do with the baby but with satisfying me! We are making storage cubes in the mud room so that area is more useful! there will be a bench for tyler to sit on and lots of storage. The closet is going to get a cleaning too. David, tyler and Dad already took the boarder down and painted the top of the walls. The bottom will have bead board.

Also this weekend, i am going to clean out my scrapbooking stuff...stand by for amazing deals! we are going to turn our desk area into a craft area..kinda. i found some good units at Target that we are going to go get. We are trying to figure out what to do with the computer. Our original plan was to move the big computer thing in tylers room that was housing toys, to the foyer and put the computer there. But David hates so i dont know what is going to happen.

Anyway we will be busy, the Honey do list was 25 items long for the weekend! Today I am going to the doctor, hope to schedule my sono appointment the next few weeks to find out if its a boy or a girl! after that ty and i are going grocery shopping. Well I need to blow dry my hair and eat some carbs!

Tylers New Room!

Check it out we have tylers room complete. I actually feel that its complete, i mean maybe i will hang some thing up on the one wall by the window or put something else on the dresser. However, if i never do its okay with me! i am really proud of how it turned out. I feel like the bed side is from a magazine. I need something to improve the dresser side but like i said its okay for now! He seems to like it!




These are tylers fish, Nemo and Nemo too! I had been dropping hints that i wanted tyler to have some fish and David was not into it. So today the bad wife that i am, i took comp time from my trip and left work around 1pm. I picked up tyler and headed to walmart! We purchased our new members of the family!! We were at home trying to set up the fish tank when david came home. I was trying to get tyler to not tell him but he was too excited!. Daddy daddy, come see my fishy! Bad wife bad!!!

Well I need to do the dishes, fold 3 loads of laundry, wash another 2, and start cleaning the toy room. Our weekend does not exist this weekend. Friday is my birthday, after work I need to get the rest of the goods for tylers party. Then Saturday is Tylers birthday!! David is probably going hunting that morning so i think i may take tyler for breakfast! Then i want to take him to toys r us, since he has his birthday club card. I need to run to the sauquoit valley craft show but we have a wedding at 3 or 4 in syracuse. I still need to find a sitter for tyler. somewhere in there i need to make all the cup cakes. My goal for this week is the clean the entire house by Thursday night so that on sunday we just need to do the floors, clean the bathrooms and get ready for the party! Thank god i have Monday off!
